NoomiClone Tips and Tricks
These tips come from running the same moves over and over in the browser version and looking at what changed. The short version: how long you hold a key matters more than how fast you press it, and your shape in the air decides how far you turn.
Facts checked on
Timing Matters More Than Speed
It is tempting to hammer the keys. Do not. The length of each hold sets the size of your swing.
We ran the same arch-then-tuck rhythm at three speeds.
| Hold each key for | What the swing did |
|---|---|
| About 0.25 seconds | Stayed low. The figure hardly left the hang. |
| About 0.55 seconds | Swung out level with the bar, on one side and then the other. |
| About 0.9 seconds | Went above the bar. |

More rounds did not help. At the half-second rhythm the swing looked the same after 4, 8 and 16 rounds. Once you are in the rhythm, you are at full size.
Getting More Height
Height comes from the slow rhythm. With holds of about 0.9 seconds, the figure got its legs above the bar, and a moment later it was crouched on top of it.
Keep the two holds the same length. An even rhythm is what lets the swing build.
Where you let go matters too. A release right after a tuck sends the figure out away from the bar. A release right after an arch, with the body level, sends it almost straight down.
We compared runs by eye. We have not measured height in numbers.
Controlling Rotation in the Air
After you let go, the two shape keys still work. They are the only steering you have.
We used the same swing and the same release three times and changed only the key held in the air.
| In the air you hold | Rotation we saw | How it landed |
|---|---|---|
| Space (tuck) | About one full turn | Sitting upright |
| Nothing | About half a turn | Head first |
| ← (arch) | Almost none | Flat, stretched out |

Think of it as a dial: tuck turns you more, arch turns you less. We only tested holding one shape for the whole flight. Switching partway through is the next thing to try.
Trying a Regrab
A regrab means letting go and catching a bar again. The counter at the top of the game counts them.
We tried hard and did not get one. We ran 90 scripted attempts. The release point was stepped through two full rounds of the half-second swing, each time with tuck, arch or nothing held in the air, and then through the slower 0.9 second swing. Every attempt ended on the floor with the counter still at 0.
So we cannot give you a timing for it. That does not prove it cannot be done in the browser version, only that we did not find it. If you manage one, you have done something we could not.
The mobile app's store listing names bar regrabs as one of its moves. That is about the app, not this browser build.
Practice Routine
Short tries add up fast, because a reset takes less than half a second. This is the order we would practise in.
- Rhythm only. Hold ←, then Space, half a second each. Do not let go. Watch the body reach bar height on both sides.
- Drops. Let go right after an arch and watch for the feet touching down first.
- Flips. Let go as a tuck ends and hold Space at once. Keep it held until you land.
- Change one thing. Let go a little earlier or later, and see what the landing does.
Press R the moment a try goes wrong. New to the game? Start with How to Play. The keys are in the controls guide.
FAQ
What is the best rhythm in NoomiClone?
Hold arch for about half a second, then tuck for about half a second. That took our figure level with the bar on both sides. Slower holds of about 0.9 seconds took it above the bar.
Do I need to press the keys fast?
No. Fast tapping gave us the smallest swing. With quarter-second taps the figure hardly left the hang.
How do I spin faster in the air?
Hold Space after you let go. Tucked, our figure made about one full turn. With nothing held it made about half a turn from the same release.
How do I stop spinning?
Hold ← after you let go. Arched, our figure stayed stretched out and hardly turned at all.
Can you regrab the bar in the browser version?
We could not. In 90 scripted attempts at different release points, the counter never left 0. That does not prove it is impossible in the browser version, only that we did not find a way.
