NoomiClone Controls
The NoomiClone browser game uses four keys and nothing else. This page shows what each one does, how arch and tuck work together, and what to check when the game ignores your keyboard. Everything here was tried in the browser version on this site.

The Four Keys
The author lists four keyboard controls on the game's itch.io page. The game also draws four buttons on screen with the same names, and you can click them with a mouse.
| Key | On-screen button | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| ← Left arrow | arch | Stretches the figure out long. |
| Space | tuck | Folds the figure up small. |
| ↑ Up arrow | let go | Lets go of the bar. |
| R | reset | Puts the figure back on the bar. |
Swipe sideways to see the whole table.
That is the whole list. We also tried →, ↓, W, A, S, D, Enter, Esc, Tab, Shift, 1, 2, M, P, Q and E. None of them did anything we could see.
What Arch and Tuck Do to Your Swing
Arch and tuck do not push you left or right. They change the shape of the body, and the body's weight does the moving.
Arch (←) pulls the figure long, like reaching back. Tuck (Space) pulls the knees in, like a ball.
Use them one after the other: hold arch for about half a second, then tuck for about half a second, and keep going. Within a few rounds each arch throws the body out level with the bar, and each tuck drops it back underneath.
How long you hold matters more than how many rounds you do. With half-second holds the swing looked the same after 4, 8 and 16 rounds. Quick quarter-second taps kept the figure low. Holds of about 0.9 seconds took it above the bar.
Both keys keep working after you let go of the bar. Tuck in the air and the figure spins faster. Arch in the air and it stretches out and hardly turns.
The camera sits off to one side, so a post can hide part of the figure for a moment. Keep your rhythm and it comes back into view.
When to Let Go
Press ↑ and the hands open right away. There is no wind-up.
If you let go while the figure is just hanging, it drops to its feet under the bar and falls over. If you let go right after a tuck in a big swing, it flies out away from the bar and turns.
Let go right after an arch, with the body level with the bar, and it drops almost straight down and lands on its feet for a moment.
The counter at the top counts regrabs, which means catching a bar again after letting go. We ran 90 scripted releases and never got one, so we cannot give you a timing for it. What we tried is in Tips.
Missed it? Press R. Reset is instant and there is no penalty for using it.
Keys Not Working? Click the Game First
This is the most common problem, and it has one fix: click once inside the game.
A browser sends key presses to the last thing you clicked. The game sits in a frame inside this page. Until you click that frame, your keys go to the page instead.
- The page scrolls when you press Space or an arrow key: the game does not have your keyboard. Click inside it.
- The keys stopped after you clicked a button under the player: click the game again.
- Still nothing: press Reload under the player, wait for the game to load, then click it once.
- You can also use Open on itch.io to play on the author's page.
Playing on a Phone or Tablet
This browser version was made for a keyboard. On a phone it first shows a notice from Unity, the engine the game runs on: WebGL is not supported on mobiles, press OK to continue anyway.
In our touch test we tapped OK and the game loaded. The four on-screen buttons then answered taps: let go and reset on the left, arch and tuck on the right.
Two limits. We ran that test in a phone-sized browser window with touch input, not on a real phone, so speed on your device may differ. And the game is drawn at one fixed size, 1280 by 720. Our player shrinks the whole frame to fit, which keeps every button on screen but makes them small on an upright phone. Turn it sideways for bigger buttons.
If you mostly play on a phone, the mobile app is the version built for it. Its store listing says you can move and resize every button.
The store links are on the NoomiClone page. We do not link to APK files.
FAQ
What are the keyboard controls for NoomiClone?
Left arrow to arch, Space to tuck, Up arrow to let go and R to reset. Those are the four controls the author lists for the browser version, and all four worked when we tried them.
Does WASD work in NoomiClone?
Not in the browser version. We pressed W, A, S and D and nothing happened. Use the left arrow, Space, the up arrow and R.
Can I change the keys?
We found no way to in the browser version. It has no settings menu, and Esc and Enter did nothing. The mobile app is different: its store listing says its buttons can be moved and resized.
Is there a pause button?
We did not find one in the browser version. Esc, P and Enter did nothing. You can press R at any time to start over.
Why does the page scroll when I press Space?
Because the game does not have your keyboard yet. Click once inside the game and Space will tuck instead of scrolling.
