How to Play NoomiClone
New to NoomiClone? This walkthrough takes you from the first load to a full flip in the browser version, one small step at a time. Every step here was run in the game on this site before it was written down.
Facts checked on
Before You Start
Open the player on the home page and press Play NoomiClone. Wait for the loading bar, then click once inside the game. The keyboard does nothing until that click.
You only need four keys: ← to arch, Space to tuck, ↑ to let go and R to reset. The controls guide explains each one.
The figure is already rocking on the bar when the game starts. You do not have to wait for it to stop.
On a phone, use the four buttons on the game screen instead. They do the same four things.
Step 1: Build a Swing
A swing comes from switching between two shapes. Neither key does it alone. When we held only arch, the figure hung long and swayed a little. When we held only tuck, it stayed curled up under the bar.
- Hold ← for about half a second. The body stretches and swings out.
- Hold Space for about half a second. The body folds and drops back under the bar.
- Keep going. Within a few rounds each arch throws the body out level with the bar, first on one side and then on the other.
Hold each key, do not tap it. With quick quarter-second taps the figure hardly left the hang.
Step 2: Tuck to Speed Up
Tuck has a second job once you are in the air. A small, folded body spins faster than a long one.
We let go at the same moment three times and changed only what we held afterwards.
- Nothing held: about half a turn. The figure came down on its head.
- Space held (tuck): about one full turn. It came down sitting upright.
- ← held (arch): almost no turn. It stayed stretched out and came down flat.
So for a flip: let go, then hold Space straight away.
Step 3: Release
Press ↑ to let go. The hands open at once. A fifth of a second later the figure is clear of the bar.
When you let go decides where you go.
- Right after a tuck: the figure flies out away from the bar and turns. This is the release for a flip.
- Right after an arch, with the body level: it drops almost straight down and lands on its feet for a moment before it tips over.
- From a plain hang: it drops to its feet under the bar and falls forward.
First flip recipe: swing with the half-second rhythm, press ↑ as a tuck ends, then hold Space until you land.
Step 4: Reset and Try Again
Press R. The figure is back on the bar in well under half a second. There is no penalty, no lives and no timer.
The game is very repeatable. The same rhythm and the same release gave us the same flight each time. So change one thing per try, like letting go a little earlier or holding tuck a little longer, and watch what moves.
The counter at the top only counts regrabs. It stayed at 0 through every flip and landing we did.
Common Beginner Mistakes
These are the ones that cost the most tries.
- Not clicking the game. If Space scrolls the page, the game does not have your keyboard. Click inside it.
- Tapping too fast. Quick taps keep the figure close to the hang. Hold each key for about half a second.
- Holding one key. Arch alone or tuck alone does not build a swing. You need both, in turn.
- Letting go from a hang. With no swing you just drop. Build the swing first.
- Forgetting to tuck in the air. Without it you get half a turn and land on your head.
- Looking for more maps. The browser version has one set-up and no menu. The maps in clips are in the mobile app.

FAQ
How do you do a flip in NoomiClone?
Swing by holding ← and Space in turn, about half a second each. Press ↑ as a tuck ends, then hold Space in the air. In our test that gave about one full turn.
Why do I keep landing on my head?
You are probably not tucking after you let go. With nothing held, our figure made about half a turn and came down head first. Holding Space in the air took it round to a full turn.
How do I land on my feet?
The closest we got was letting go right after an arch, with the body level with the bar. The figure dropped, landed on its feet and then tipped onto its back. We did not find a release that stays standing.
How do I swing higher?
Hold each key longer. Half-second holds took the figure level with the bar. Holds of about 0.9 seconds took it above the bar. There is more on this in Tips.
Is there a tutorial in the browser version?
No. The browser version has no menu and no tutorial. According to its store listings, the mobile app added a tutorial in version 2.4.0.
